With an international team, Acne knows the value of flawless customer service when traveling. So naturally they were the first choice for Bev Malik, former fashion buyer from the renowned Browns of London, to collaborate with on her new venture for luxury travel resorts One&Only.

“There is a fundamental relationship between travel and fashion,” says Malik. But often this connection has been overlooked. One&Only Resorts are known for their innovative approach to opulent getaways, and the project with Acne follows suit.

One&Only Lost Luggage launches in July 2008, and is the first stage in Malik’s luxury travel retail business. The idea is to provide exclusive pre-selected luggage with clothing essentials for a week’s holiday. Suitable for those who wish to travel light, or those with the misfortune to loose their luggage en route. Described as “replacing the hassle of packing with the joy of owning key basics for the season,” this is an ingenious launch.

Acne’s cabin bags will be hand-picked to complement the climate and exotic style of each of One&Only’s resorts, from Mauritius to Dubai, with Cape Town due to open in 2009. Lost Luggage items are to include lightweight chinos and tops, dresses and accessories, designed to be equipped for both day and evening. Bespoke bags can be created upon request, with any other items requested by the client.

This is an exciting partnership and allows Acne to once again work with a long-time admirer of their work.

“I really can’t think of any brand that would be more suited to Lost Luggage,” the buyer revealed. “Acne has the modern take on the capsule wardrobe.”
