Bruce of Los Angeles: Rodeo

3 September – 7 October 2026

Rodeo presents seventy-five vintage photographs by Bruce of Los Angeles, drawn from the private collection of critic and curator Vince Aletti. Made during Bruce Bellas's travels across the American West, the images capture working cowboys and rodeo riders with an intimacy and formal precision that extends beyond the conventions of physique photography. Coinciding with the publication of the second edition of Rodeo: Bruce of Los Angeles, edited by Vince Aletti and published by Acne Studios, the exhibition offers a nuanced view of masculinity and is now regarded as among Bellas's most personal work.
