1. General terms and conditions
The following terms and conditions (henceforth: the “Terms and Conditions”) are valid between you and Acne Studios China Co., Ltd. 埃恳尼（上海）商贸有限公司 (Business Registration number of 91310000MA1FY55T0F) (henceforth “Acne Studios”; may be referred to as “us” and “we”) and apply to all use of and orders placed on www.acnestudios.com/cn/zh, and orders made by telephone, e-mail or by live chat with Acne Studio’s Customer Service team (henceforth together: the “Website”) in Mainland China (namely, excluding Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR and Taiwan).
Please note that Acne Studios does not guarantee that all products presented on the Website are in stock or are available for purchase. Acne Studios reserves its right to stop selling a product.
Orders can only be placed by persons that are 18 years or older and are located in Mainland China at the time of the placement of the order.
Acne Studios reserves the right to revise the Terms and Conditions at any time. The date of the latest update is found in the final section of the Terms and Conditions. Users are responsible for keeping themselves updated with such changes.
Please note that the terms and conditions valid for your order is always the terms and conditions that is in effect as of the time that you place your order and not a later version. You should keep a copy of these Terms and Conditions for future reference.
The language of the Terms and Conditions is Chinese and English. In case of any discrepancy between the two versions, the Chinese shall prevail.
3. My account
When you place an order on the Website, you can choose to create a personal account or check out as a guest. If you chose to check out as a guest, we will only store the information that you provide to your order such as shipping address and email address. When creating the personal account, you will be able to choose a password with which you can log in and view your order history and track your order. Please refer to the “Membership Services and Advantages” in section 2 of the Membership Policy.
If you would like to delete your personal account, you can also contact us by using the contact details in section 28 below and the customer care team will assist you.
4. Placing order
All information on the Website is an invitation to treat only and is not an offer or unilateral contract. You agree that your order is an offer to purchase the products listed in your order from us on the Terms and Conditions.
Before you submit your order, you will be given the opportunity to review your selections, the information you have provided, the total price of your order, the completeness of all compulsory information and correct any input errors. You agree that the information you provide in the order is not misleading, and is true and accurate in all respects and you will promptly notify us of any changes to that information by using the contact details in section 28 below. If information you provide is incorrect, inaccurate or misleading, we will be unable to provide corresponding services, and you will be responsible for any losses incurred by you therefrom.
If prolonged inactivity causes your connection to the Website to fail, your selection of products may be lost. In such case, you will be required to re-enter your selection of products to the shopping bag. Please note that products in your shopping bag are not reserved and may be purchased by other customers until you have placed the order at checkout and received the order confirmation email from us.
5. Order confirmation
After submitting your order, we will send you an order confirmation e-mail with your order number, details of the product you have ordered from us, your payment details and delivery details. Please note that the order confirmation e-mail is an acknowledgement that we have received your order and is not an acceptance of the order.
6. Acceptance and shipping confirmation
Please note that all orders placed by you are subject to acceptance by us. Unless not permitted by applicable law, we may, at our discretion, choose to cancel and not to accept your order for any reason whatsoever without any liability to you.
Once the order has been processed, a shipping confirmation e-mail will be sent with all relevant information about your order. The shipping confirmation is our acceptance of your order. Only until then the contract of sale and delivery of the products between you and Acne Studios has been established.
Please note that Acne Studios does not guarantee that all products presented on the Website are in stock at the time of your order.If part or all of the products in your order are unavailable, we will contact you shortly, by phone or by e-mail, and cancel your order wholly or partially. If we already have received payment for such product, we will refund you the amount of the purchase in the same payment method that you used at the time of purchase.
Acne Studios’ goal is to describe the products at the Website as correctly as possible. However, please note that due to the color settings of your computer, the colors of the products shown in the pictures on the Website can differ somewhat from their actual colors. Acne Studios cannot be held responsible for any such discrepancy.
The prices and delivery costs shown on the Website include VAT.
The prices and delivery costs shown on the Website may vary from time to time and Acne Studios is not bound by the price until Acne Studios has accepted the order by sending the shipping confirmation to you. The prices may also vary between the physical store and the Website.
If you have placed an order and the price has changed before we have accepted your order (by sending you the shipping confirmation), we will notify you by e-mail about the price change and give you the option to place a new order with the new price or cancel the old order. If we are unable to contact you within 15 days after your placing of order, your order will be cancelled.
Please also note the Acne Studios may cancel the order even if it has been accepted by Acne Studios under the condition that you realize or should have realized that the price information was incorrect.
The delivery costs are not included in the product prices and are shown in connection with the shipping methods at the checkout stage separately.
9. Personalised items
Personalised products made to your specification or monogrammed cannot be returned or refunded. Once the order has been sent by the customer and confirmed of receipt by Acne Studios, the customer will be informed via an order confirmation email. Once the order is processed and accepted, the customer will receive a shipping confirmation email. Personalised items may be delivered in a time slot indicated on the Website, which may be longer than regular delivery slots. Because of the clearly personalized nature of personalised products and the fact that they are produced specifically for the customer, they cannot be returned, refunded or exchanged. Similarly, the customer does not have the right to cancel the order.
When selecting the Alipay option, you will be directed to the Alipay payment page, where you can either scan a given QR code or “Log In” to review the amount shown before approving such payment. Once this transaction is complete, you will then return to the Website.
When an order is placed with a gift card used as payment, the order can only be shipped to the same country as to where the gift card was issued. Acne Studios are unable to change the currency of the gift card, and it is always country specific. Gift cards purchased online cannot be used in store, and gift cards purchased in store cannot be used online.
Gift cards are valid one year from the date of their purchase.
Upon request, we will issue Fa Piao and/or a digital receipt in accordance with the applicable law. When submitting an order, you may choose to receive a Fa Piao and/or a digital receipt, and we will send them to you. Please keep the Fa Piao carefully. If you find any items in the Fa Piao and receipt is incorrect, please contact us as soon as practically possible upon your receipt of the same and we will make sure that you receive a corrected version. In the case of a Fa Piao, we will only issue a revised one to you once we have received back the original one from you.
We offer shipping methods to best meet your needs as further specified when you check out. We cannot be held responsible if that shipping address is incorrect or incomplete. Please note that if you select a shipping destination outside Mainland China, we will cancel your order and you are welcome to shop on the country site of your choice. The delivery region depends on the capability of our service suppliers. If you are not at the shipping address at the time of the delivery to receive the products, please contact us so that we will arrange another date of delivery. If we cannot get through to you within 30 days from the date of dispatch, we will cancel the order and refund of price of the products not delivered will be made using the same payment method you used at the time of the purchase.
We will dispatch the products provided that you have paid full prices of the products in your order. Dispatch of orders may take up to 7 business days but we aim to dispatch all orders within 24 hours during weekdays, or 1-2 business days during sales periods. Please note that estimated delivery times are provided as guidelines only, and commence from the date of dispatch. The delivery times do not take into account possible delays caused by payment authorization and/or stock availability. To the extent permitted by the applicable law, we cannot be held responsible for any reasonable or unavoidable delay of delivery. However, if Acne Studios fails to deliver within 30 days, you may have the right to cancel the purchase.
All orders are fully traceable on the Website by logging in to My account. Click “Orders” and fill in the tracking number for updated information about your shipment. So please keep the tracking number provided in the shipping confirmation email.
Title in and risks of the Products will pass to you on the date and at the time of the products are delivered to your shipping address. If the packaging is damaged when you receive the products, you have the right to reject to the acceptance of the products, and in such a case please contact us by using the contact details in section 28 below.
13. Right of withdrawal and returns
You are entitled to withdraw your purchase or exchange your product by submitting or sending notice thereof to Acne Studios within 14 days of the date on which you have received the product. The notice may be sent in different ways. Please contact us by using the contact details in section 28 below and give us the notification of the information that you will withdraw or exchange your purchase. You can also register returns/exchanges once logged in your personal account. If you check out as a guest, you can still track your order using the order number provided in the shipping confirmation email and will further be able to register returns/exchanges. We will send you a confirmation upon receiving your notice. Please always refer to your order number in you communication with us. You may wish to keep a copy of your withdrawal or exchange notification for your own records.
Please note that the products purchased outside Mainland China cannot be returned or exchanged in Mainland China.
Refund relating to the right of withdrawal
If you choose to withdraw your purchase in accordance with the terms set forth in this section 13, Acne Studios will issue a refund of the amount paid to Acne Studios including the shipping cost you have paid for the delivery from Acne Studios to you Acne Studios will pay the refund within 14 days of the date on which we have received your notice of withdrawal, under the condition that Acne Studios has received the product(s) from you or if Acne Studios has obtained proof that the products have been sent back to Acne Studios. The refund is made using the same payment method you used at the time of the purchase. You will not be charged extra if another payment method of refund is used.
Please note that Acne Studios only issues a full refund if the product(s) is in the same conditions as at the time of delivery. Incomplete, damaged, worn, soiled or altered returns, or if the products’ value has diminished due to your handling of the products to a greater extent than is necessary in order to ascertain its characteristics or function, we may choose to reject to accept the returned products and therefore send back to the customer. We may also choose to receive a reimbursement from you. Thus, Acne Studios then has the right to withhold such amount of the refund.
To avoid a rejection to withdrawal or a deduction, please make sure the product you wish to refund is in the exact same condition as when you received them, with tag, seal, accessories, instructions, gift (if any) and labeling still attached or included, as the case may be. All shoes must not be used at all or only be used on a carpeted surface until you have decided to keep them. Shoes and accessories that come in a special box must be returned in their undamaged original box which is considered to be a part of the product. Where the products such as underwear and swimming suit are supplied with a hygiene strip, the hygiene strip must not be removed and remains intact.
The original paper Fa Piao (if we have issued to you as per your request) must be returned to us. If you have ordered multiple items within one order and wish to return part of the order, please return the original Fa Piao (if we have issued to you as per your request). A replacement Fa Piao will be issued for the items not returned and sent to your original shipping address.
Purchased products are exchangeable into a different size in accordance with the terms set forth in this section 13. All exchanges are based on stock availability. If you have exchanged a product, Acne Studios will pay the shipping costs for the new product.
Please note that sale products are exchangeable and can be returned with a full refund.
The requirements for the returned products and Fa Piao in “Refund relating to the right of withdrawal” above also apply to the exchanged products and Fapiao. We will not dispatch the new product before we receive the returned products.
Shipping costs for returning the products
Acne Studios offer a free return service and Acne Studios will pay the shipping cost for returning the products sent within mainland China in accordance with your right of withdrawal and exchange. We do not accept liability for goods returned using any method other than our recommended collection service.
Returning the products
Upon your withdrawal or exchange of your purchase, please return the product(s) as soon as reasonably practicable but no later than 14 days after sending your notice.
When returning please follow the steps below.
• Visit the Website and log into your personal account to begin a return or exchange.
• If you don't have a personal account, visit www.acnestudios.com/returns and enter the information for the order that you'd like to return to begin a return or exchange.
• You can view your orders and must request a return or exchange item for any unwanted items.
• Place the item(s) in the original shipping box (with the return information label pasted inside the same box).
• Close the box and tape it securely.
• Contact SF Express (either on its official Wechat service account, by calling its service hotline or by logging onto its official website) to arrange for pick-up at your designated location and opt for Payment-Upon-Arrival (freight to be borne by Acne Studios)
• Place the new SF Express shipping label for return over the prior shipping label.
14. Defective products
If you receive defective products, please notify us immediately. You are entitled to complain about defective products within two years when you become aware or ought to be aware if the products have unreasonable danger in the products where such danger threatens personal safety or the safety of third party property or the products do not comply with national or industry standards for protection of health or personal safety or the safety of property (“Defects”). However, you must always notify Acne Studios within a reasonable time after you have detected that the products are defective. If Acne Studios consider the products to be defective, Acne Studios will make a full refund including shipping costs. Please see more information about your legal consumer rights under the laws of PRC.
Please note that the defective products purchased outside Mainland China cannot be returned or exchanged in Mainland China.
15. Acne Studios quality guarantee
Acne Studios acts in accordance with applicable consumer regulations. Please notify us as soon as possible after receiving defective products.

Acne Studios use Secure Socket Layers (SSL), the industry standard in transferring information to process your orders. Acne Studios online shop secures communications by encrypting all data to and from the site. When placing an order, you can immediately check the security validity by clicking the Thawte icon at checkout. For security reasons, we do not store any payment information in our database.
21. Resale policy
You may purchase products on www.acnestudios.com for personal use only and not for resale. By placing an order on www.acnestudios.com, you certify that you are purchasing products for your own personal use and not for resale and that you accept the Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to refuse orders for any reason without explanation.
22. Information on the website
Acne Studios cannot promise that the content of the site is free of inaccuracies or typographical errors. Neither can we guarantee that all information is up-to-date. Acne Studios may, at any time, amend the content of the site. Although Acne Studios strives to display the correct texts, images and pricing on the site and online shop, errors may occur. Part of the services provided through the site are maintained by third party operators. In situations where Acne Studios acts as agent for such services, we cannot be held responsible for any errors resulting from their activities. Acne Studios cannot be held responsible for any damage caused from using the site or, for that matter, not being able to use the site. Acne Studios cannot guarantee problem-free, uninterrupted, and secure access to the site.
The Website may contain links to other websites beyond our reach. We cannot be held liable for content or privacy policies of such sites.
24. Violation of rules
Acne Studios reserves the right to seek all solutions available at law and in equity for violations of these Terms and Conditions, including the right to block access to the site. Individuals violating the restriction of password-protected areas of the site may be subject to prosecution.
25. Acne Studios responsibility
Acne Studios liabilities to you are limited in each separate case to these Terms and Conditions unless otherwise is stipulated by law. In no case whatsoever will Acne Studios assume any liability for indirect damages such as loss of profit or in case of force majeure such as war, civil war, revolution, riot, governmental measures, strike, lockout, blockage, failure of electricity, telephone or internet service, natural disasters or similar events. Acne Studios’ liabilities to you will never exceed your total purchase amount for each order. In case of force majeure, Acne Studios’ obligations will be suspended. The contract between you and Acne Studios can, in such cases, be partially or fully terminated by yourself or by Acne Studios.
26. Provisions severability
If any part of these Terms and Conditions are held to be invalid or unenforceable, such determination shall not invalidate any other provision of these Terms and Conditions; instead the invalid terms and conditions shall be replaced with other terms in order to give effect to the commercial intentions of these Terms and Conditions.
27. Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of P.R.China (excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, the laws of Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR and Taiwan). Any disputes pertaining to these Terms and Conditions shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration administered by the Shanghai International Arbitration Center (SHIAC) under the SHIAC Arbitration Rules in force when the Notice of Arbitration is submitted.
