Reduced climate impact

  • Target: 50% absolute reductions of scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions by FY 30/31 from the base year FY 20/21
  • Progress: 63% reduction of scope 1 & 2 GHG emissions and completed our 2030 climate roadmap in FY 22/23

We are committed to reducing our climate impact in line with science and the Paris Agreement. To do our part in keeping global warming to 1.5°C we have set an ambitious 2030 goal to reduce our absolute GHG emissions across our direct operations and supply chain (Scope 1, 2 & 3) by 50% compared with our base year in FY 20/21. This commitment is guiding our course for progress. Over 95% of our carbon emissions are generated by our supply chain through the making and shipments of our products so we are focused on working with our partners and changing the way we create and distribute our collections. We measure the carbon impact of all our activities every year and compare them against our climate roadmap where we have outlined all of the actions, we need to take meet our 2030 target. Find more details on our climate footprint and the progress towards our climate target in our Sustainability Report.

Swedish Textile Initiative for Climate Action

The climate crisis needs widescale cooperation. In 2019, we joined the Swedish Textile Initiative for Climate Action (STICA) to help find climate solutions for the fashion industry. STICA was launched to support Scandinavian brands set science-based targets in line with the Paris Agreement, and as a member we have committed to reaching net-zero emissions before 2050. We are collaborating with our STICA peers to share and learn best practice, and to find ways of creating a low carbon future together. Please find more information on the STICA website.

Renewable energy

Many of our European product suppliers are using renewable electricity and several suppliers are in process of installing solar panels. But to meet our climate goals we will need our entire supply chain to move away from fossil fuels. To support this transition, we invited Act Renewable to host a workshop at our supplier forum and talk to our partners about the renewable energy opportunities available to them.
