A counter-narrative in which historical attire interacts with the most ubiquitous thing we wear. Denim becomes a canvas that moves through time, as courtly codes become weathered and raw, charged with deconstructed decadence.
Feverish cries signal the start of a show that unfolds against a backdrop where traditional carpets by artist Faig Ahmed appear to melt with the memories they once held. A wildly cinematic soundtrack echoes the intention of this women’s wardrobe: classical archetypes gone untethered, finding their way to the shores of an uncanny world.
